The Boyfriend Formula is an online coaching program for professional gay men who are sick and tired of the ghosting, rejection and casual dating culture that comes with gay dating and gay relationships.
But it is more than a gay relationship coaching program. This isn't about changing who you are. It's about emotional intelligence in dating and becoming more of who you already are, attracting the right partner, and building something real together.

Many gay men experience what psychologists call emotional delay, postponing emotional development because, first, we had to learn how to survive in a heteronormative world. That can manifest as overachieving, people-pleasing, emotional overdependence, or avoidance of commitment.

I’m Markus van Driel, a life and relationship coach who helps high-achieving gay men build confidence, break unhelpful dating patterns, and create relationships that truly fit their lives.
Over the last decade, I’ve developed Neuro Pathway Mapping™ and The Boyfriend Formula™, unique philosophies that combine coaching, neuroscience, and emotional intelligence to create lasting change.
My work is built on years of professional training and experience in coaching and therapy-based practices, along with lived experience navigating love, divorce, career, financial struggles and identity as a gay man.

How can I apply?
For Essentials and Accelerator, you can apply directly. Because spaces are limited, Elite requires a clarity call to determine if we are the right fit to work together.
When does the next program start?
Please join the waiting list and we will keep you updated when the program starts.
Can I attend the coaching sessions on my tablet or phone?
I wouldn't recommend it. Your tablet is fine, but your phone screen is too small. Also, with your phone, you're likely to get distracted too easily because you start walking around. A laptop, or computer, is the best, as we will be sharing information and slides which are best viewed on a big screen.
How often do sessions take place?
Most clients meet weekly or bi-weekly, depending on their goals and coaching plan. We’ll decide what program works best for you.
What payment options do you have available?
We have a number of payment methods available:

We also have some discounts available for uptown 10% depending on your level of commitment to yourself
All our online payments are securely processed and managed through Stripe.
What if I'm not comfortable in group coaching?
The Essentials level of the program has no group interactivity. Or I have individual coaching programs available too. Of course you can join other group coaching sessions, but I do prefer that people have their cameras on.
However, if you want to get the most out of the group program, I recommend you participate.
How quickly will I see results
How quickly you get results depends on the level of commitment and the program you choose.
I am not going to lie, changing your life is going to require effort. As a coach, there are a lot of things I can do to support you, but your level of commitment and showing up is essential.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24-hour notice for any rescheduling. Missed or late-cancelled sessions may be charged depending on your plan.
